Senior Python Software Engineer

At Consultora Gestal, we are partnering with one of our clients to find a Senior Backend Engineer who is passionate about building reliable, scalable, and high-impact software solutions.

We are looking for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, contributing to architectural decisions, and building mission-critical backend systems. You'll work with modern technologies, collaborate with talented professionals, and leverage AI-powered development tools to accelerate delivery and improve engineering practices.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical backend applications and services.
• Contribute to software architecture and technical design decisions.
• Ensure system quality, scalability, reliability, and availability.
• Implement best practices for software development, testing, and observability.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate on troubleshooting and incident resolution.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools to accelerate software delivery and improve productivity.
• Drive continuous improvements across engineering processes, tools, and development standards.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python.
• Experience with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to design scalable, maintainable software solutions.
• Experience using AI-powered software development tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Conversational English proficiency.

Nice to Have

• Experience in fintech, financial services, or accounting.
• Knowledge of payment systems and banking integrations.
• Experience with GraphQL.
• Experience building applications powered by LLMs, RAG, and AI Agents.
• Familiarity with data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift.
• Experience with React and TypeScript.
