What we're looking for

The Senior Frontend Developer is a frontend-first engineer who leads the design and delivery of high-performance user interfaces using React and TypeScript, while maintaining solid backend proficiency in Java and Spring Boot. This role plays a key part in defining frontend architecture, ensuring system reliability, and solving complex engineering challenges within a distributed SaaS environment.

This role requires strong adoption of AI-assisted development practices, leveraging AI tools to improve productivity, accelerate onboarding, and enhance system understanding.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Development & Architecture

• Lead and own the development of scalable frontend applications using React and TypeScript, delivering end-to-end features from UI to integration layer.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for new features and integrations.
• Build and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot to support frontend functionality and integrations.
• Work with Generative AI technologies and integrate GenAI capabilities into frontend and backend systems.
• Lead architectural decisions, including microservices and event-driven patterns.

System Performance & Reliability

• Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues.
• Optimize database interactions, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and maintainability across distributed systems.

Engineering Practices & Quality

• Conduct code reviews and maintain high engineering standards.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and monitoring practices.
• Promote best practices in security, code quality, and system design.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, design reviews, and retrospectives.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required

• 6+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years building production-grade frontend applications within a SaaS environment.
• Deep expertise in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript, including component architecture, state management, performance optimization and end-to-end frontend ownership.
• Solid backend proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, with experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and working with PostgreSQL or relational databases.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., code generation, debugging, test generation, or system exploration tools) as part of daily engineering workflows.
• Experience with Docker, containerized environments and orchestration.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP acceptable).
• Experience working in Agile, cross-functional teams.
• English Level: Fluent (C1/C2) is mandatory.

Preferred

• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation frameworks.
• Experience integrating GenAI capabilities backend systems.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
